This will be the event of the year for Mudgeeraba. Last year's inaugural Muster was successful despite it being the organisers' first attempt. The 2014 Muster will be bigger, better and brighter.
Funding is all important. The more money raised the better quality the artists and of course the proceeds go to helping the Mudgeeraba business community as well as emerging country artists.
My idea for an Art Union has been well received by fellow committee members but we all need to work hard to make it work.
The first prize is a trip for two to Nashville and Memphis, which includes return airfares, accommodation in both centres, coach travel between the two and $AUS1,000 spending money. It's not to be scoffed at. The big news is, for a $AUS10 ticket, each ticket holder has a one in two thousand chance of winning first prize. Those who buy a book of five, increase their chances five-fold.
The Chamber's website: www.mudgeerabachamber.com.au has more detail and places where tickets can be purchased.
