AMAZON BREAKTHROUGH NOVEL AWARD

My manuscript for Calvus has made it through the first round of the 2011 Award which means it has been selected as one of the top 2,000 (1,000 of the adult fiction category). Fingers crossed for the quarter-finals on March 22nd.

AUTHOR TALKS

My diary is filling up quickly this year. Apart from a talk at the Runaway Bay library on the Gold Coast I now have a total of five talks in various Brisbane libraries including the central one in the city. Added to that I have another on a date to be fixed at Rotary Club, Burleigh Heads.

It's shaping up into a busy year. I'm sure I'll sell a lot more copies of The Election as a result of this program.

BOOKS, BOOKS, BOOKS

I've had another nice surprise in that the library supplier to whom I had sold 5 paperback copies of The Election has already ordered more. I'm getting close to the point when it will be necessary for me to order another print run which, despite the cost, is good news.

I currently have an author talk at a Gold Coast library coming and three at Brisbane libraries one of them at their main library in the city so I'm going to be busy at those and hopefully a lot of books will be sold as a result. I also expect more - Brisbane has 33 libraries all told.
